Our Staff

Lynsee McCoy

Owner / Teacher

Lynsee is a local substitute teacher who specializes in reading, writing and math interventions for children. She has worked for the Camas School District for 3 years, after earning her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in January of 2022.

She has worked with children for many years and has a great understanding that not every child learns in the same way, and that there needs to be multiple pathways to get them to where they need to be. Relationship building with students is very important to Lynsee, and she works very hard to build trust with them, as it is an essential building block to learning. She believes that every student deserves a safe and inclusive environment to learn.

Kristin King

Teacher

Kristin is a longtime CSD teacher and proud Camas mom with two kids currently in the district. She’s spent the past 10 years teaching elementary students across a variety of grades—including preschool, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th—and loves the energy and creativity young learners bring to the classroom. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s in curriculum design, with a special focus on the science of writing. Most recently, Kristin earned her visual arts endorsement and made the exciting leap to teaching high school art.

A Camas native, Kristin is deeply invested in her community, education, and the arts. She finds joy in working with students of all ages and believes in the power of creative expression. When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her outside exploring with her two teenagers or soaking up the Pacific Northwest beauty.
